DELIVERY AND RETURNS POLICY
Delivery and Shipping
All Jewellery is currently made to order, and takes approximately 4-6 weeks, timescales vary on complexity and numbers of orders waiting in the workshop.
Should you require any help with your order or advice on purchasing a gift, please contact us and we would be pleased to assist you. In order to ensure that your goods arrive on time and safely, we only use our approved services Royal Mail Special Delivery and FedEx.
This means that your shipment is electronically trackable and will need to be signed for on delivery.
Once your design is dispatched, the timescales and prices for each geographic location are listed below.

Shipping Destinations
To the UK
All orders delivered to addresses within the United Kingdom, including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, are shipped by Royal Mail Special Delivery. Upon dispatch order are delivered the following day. Friday dispatches will arrive the following Monday. A £10 delivery charge will be added to your order.
International Delivery
All international orders are delivered using the FedEx International Priority service. Upon dispatch, International shipments typically take up to 3-5 working days for delivery, depending on the destination and local customs procedures. A £30 delivery charge will be added to your order.
Further Information
We fully insure each purchase during the time that it is being shipped until it is delivered to you.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address you give us is correct and accurate and that there is somebody to sign for and take delivery of the goods from the delivery service used.
After you have signed to accept the delivery of any goods from our approved carrier, ownership for your purchased goods passes to you and we will not be liable for their loss or damage.
If your order is returned to us because the courier or postal service could not complete the delivery to you for whatever reason, then you will be responsible for the repeat delivery costs.
Please note that orders may not be able to be delivered to PO Box or similar addresses and goods comprised within the same order cannot be delivered to different addresses.
Cancellation by you
You may cancel your contract with us for the goods you order at any time up to the end of the 7 days from the date you receive the ordered goods. You do not need to give us any reason for cancelling your contract nor will you have to pay any penalty. To cancel your contract you must notify us by email at info@janenorth.co.uk or telephone us on 07786884250.
Due to their unique nature, you cannot cancel your order, have the relevant goods exchanged and/or returned to us if they have been made to order or made to your own specifications, unless such goods were damaged or faulty when delivered to you or have been incorrectly delivered.
Once you have notified us that you are cancelling your contract, any sum debited from your credit card will be credited to your account as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days from when you cancelled your order.
You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the goods delivered to you while they are in your possession. If you fail to comply with this obligation, we may have a right to claim the cost of deterioration from you.
Due to health and hygiene regulations, earrings are non returnable.
Safe and Easy Returns
We very much hope that you will love the goods that you have purchased from Jane North Edinburgh. It is very important to us that you feel entirely satisfied with your purchase and that you are happy with your shopping experience at Jane North Edinburgh. If for any reason you are disappointed with your purchase, you can simply return your jewellery by following the Return Instructions listed below.
How to return an item
To return an item to us, please send an email to info@janenorth.co.uk within 14 days of receipt of delivery to obtain your Return Authorisation (RA) number and returns form.
For Customers in the UK
Once you have received your RA number and returns form, you should take your goods to a Post Office for return by Royal Mail Special Delivery within 7 days of receiving the RA number and returns form.
Please ensure that goods are in their original condition and packaging. Place goods in a bubble wrap envelope with the returns form, and send to:

Please obtain a receipt from the Post Office and save your proof of posting and tracking information until your refund has been processed.
Your refund will be credited to the original purchaser's credit or debit card as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of when you cancelled your order. Refund covers delivery within the UK.
Please note: Items that are made to order or customised cannot be exchanged.
For Customers outside the UK
How to return an item

Unfortunately, we do not cover any cost incurred returning goods to us from outside the UK.

Exchanges

Exchanged goods can only be dispatched after the returned goods have been received by us and have undergone a quality control check.
We will contact you to arrange an exchange once returned goods have undergone standard checks.
Any additional charges for exchanged items will be added on to your bill.
Items that are made to order or customised cannot be exchanged.

Bespoke Orders
Unless damaged, faulty or incorrectly delivered, goods that have been customised or made to your own specifications which we do not carry in stock may not be exchanged or returned under any circumstance.
We advise you to confirm your requirements carefully when ordering customised goods or goods made to your own specifications from us.
Damaged Items
All our goods are quality controlled and checked for any faults before they are dispatched to you.
Please follow the procedure in the Safe and Easy Returns section and send item back to us for inspection.
If after inspecting your jewellery, we are satisfied that it is defective in materials or workmanship, we will repair the product at our expense and return it to you free of charge. We will notify you by email when you can expect the items to be shipped back to you.
Nothing in this section affects your legal rights.
Additional information on Refunds or Exchanges
When the goods have been returned and safely received by Jane North Edinburgh, we will notify you by email to arrange a Refund or Exchange.
We request that all goods being returned are shipped back to us within 7 days of us issuing an RA number to you. Goods must return to us in their original condition and packaging.
We shall be entitled to ask you for confirmation of the date you returned the goods to us. In the event of failure to return any goods to us within the time limits stated, even though validly cancelled, we reserve the right to charge any costs for recovery of the goods by us. Unauthorised returns are returned to sender.
All returns for any particular order must be returned in one shipment. Any subsequent returns from the same order may incur additional shipping charges to you. Please note that, unless shipment of the goods is arranged using our approved courier services as set out above, all goods returned to us are at your own risk until we receive them. Returns received outside the timescales in the contract are at the discretion of Jane North. We do not refund international customs duties and sales taxes shipments outside the EU.
